Greetings from the Sheehe family. Over the past year we have added one
member to our immediate family - Oscar McCarthy Sheehe. Oscar will be one
year old in April. Please check out his
newborn video. We also have lots of photos of both Oscar and Max
from 2004 and are starting to collect the ones in 2005. The fabulous Max
McCarthy Sheehe is now four years old and attending preschool. One of my
favorite videos from last year is Max in his
tumbling class.
Last year was the year we were lucky enough to
attend the two wonderful weddings.
The wedding of my brother Matt and the wonderful Becky was a
classic affair out in wine country. We also have all the rehearsal dinner video
(in four different downloads) available on this site in the movie section for
the year 2004.
The wedding of my cousin Bayne and the beautiful Holly was a kick-butt
party in Baja Mexico. Both couples are pregnant right now and expecting babies
in 2005!
Both cousin Ben Quackenbush and Maya McCarthy
celebrated their first birthdays. I was able to catch Ben in walking
action
during his big fiesta. Hopefully I will get a new one of Maya sometime
this year.
Let's see, what else happened last year. We took a great trip
to Vancouver with Max's girlfriend Claire right after Oscar was born in
June. We met the Boudour family in Seattle and then took a road trip up the
coast to Vancouver. What a great city!
Oh yes, and how could I forget. We took a
family vacation - Oscar, Max, me, and Rich - to Walt Disney world in
September. I had a conference and we piggy back the free airfare and
hotel time. Before the conference, we went to Walt Disney World and
Animal Kingdom. The kids absolutely loved it. There was plenty of
rides for us all to go on as a family. The safari in Animal Kingdom was
so good that it reminded me of the Peace Corps in Africa. Then, after the
conference, we even hopped on a 3 day Disney cruise. Sounds cheesy but
they totally watch your kids the whole time and provide activities - even baby
Oscar. Rich and I made a point of never getting off the ship, never doing
any adult activities - we just sat at the adult-only pool, soaked up the
sun, and had a great almost kid-free vacation. We didn't even take too
many cruise photos, as our online album can attest.
